In January 1999, word-sunday.com began as WordStudy, a site parked on a local server for cable television. The bible study for the Sunday's gospel was soon joined with the children's story for the gospel and a family activity. In 2001, the site was moved and gained its "word-sunday.com" domain name. Commentary for the first reading was added. In 2002, commentary for the second reading was added.
As the site celebrates its sixth anniversary on the web, new features have been added, including the catechism link. Thanks to over 5000 visitors per week who support word-sunday.com!
A Little About Myself
 For the past fifthteen years, I've been a Director of Religious Education in San Diego, for the last eight years at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Carlsbad, CA. I supervise the children's program and adult education.
I graduated the University of San Diego with a BA in Religious Studies/Philosophy (1979) and an MA in Religious Education (1985). I received a Certificate in Youth Ministry Certificate (1995) in Family Faith Formation (1999) from the Center for Ministry Development.
For the past 25 years, I've been very happily married to my wonderful wife, Andrea. Andrea and I have two children, Mary and Paul. Mary graduated with an MA in Art Hsitory from San Diego State. She is married and has daughter, Layla. Paul is currently at Cal Poly Pomona.
Oh, yeah, we have two pets: Teddy the dog and Whiskers the cat.
